Here at Coast Dread Company we love everything dreads! We believe that your crown deserves expert care, and we’re excited to become a part of your journey.

We specialise in dread creation and maintenance using a unique organic crochet twist method. This gentle, effective method works for all hair types. We may also use other traditional techniques as we work with your natural hair to form, install, or care for healthy dreads.

We respect your beliefs and aim to build on the sense of belonging and kinship that is part of dread culture. We hope you feel at home in our studio, or we can come to you by arrangement.

We offer:

  • Creation of new dreads (including natural dreads and temporary or permanent extensions)

  • Comprehensive crochet twist maintenance options including deep soak, scalp massage, and botanical serum root rehydration

  • Restoration and repair of problematic dreads including grafting, resectioning, cutting, and shaping

  • Removal of permanent dreadlocks using deep soak and conditioning to preserve hair length and quality

  • Rebraids/reinstallation of temporary dread extensions
